Appeals of Examination
- The Board must receive Complaints/Appeals within three (3) months of the
mailing date of exam results to be considered.
- The cost of reviewing failed parts of the examination will be non-refundable
and set annually by the Board.
- The written examination is graded by scantron and is only subject to regrading
by the same method. The Board will NOT refer to the candidate’s test
booklet and try to transcribe the marks on the handbook onto the scantron.
Only the scantron will be used to determine the written score. Other complaints
regarding the examination will be adjudicated according to the general Appeals
policy and procedure.
- Appeal of the Practical examination consists of two Board members who did
not grade that candidate reviewing and rescoring the examination from the
DVD made from the videotape of the examination. If the two Board members
disagree on the scores, a third will regrade the examination and the like
scores will be used. This will occur within thirty (30) days after the appeal
is made.
- See the general Appeals Policy and Procedure to take the process further
than described above.
